Submit your photos to the Adams County Fall Photography Contest. This competition is open to all Adams County residents, and photographers of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. We are looking for beautiful images captured within the county with an emphasis on landscape and urban settings. You can submit as many high-resolution photographs as you would like. Photographs captured at seven megapixels or larger are required. No cell phone photos will be accepted.
Submit your photos and/or questions to [email protected]. All entries are due by Friday, Nov. 11. One winner will be selected by a panel that includes members of the Adams county Arts Commission, and announced before Thanksgiving. The winner will receive an iPad Air.
Legal Notice: You retain your rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, you grant Adams County (and those authorized by Adams County) a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any Adams County purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising and promotion of the county and its website and exhibition, including, but not limited to, Adams County publications and its website. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible. The Regional Transportation District (RTD), in coordination with Suncor and local emergency services will conduct an emergency preparedness drill for the N Line on Wednesday, Oct. 28, between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon. The drill will take place at RTD’s Commerce City/72nd Station, 3838 E. 72nd Ave.
The National Weather Service has extended the Red Flag warning for Adams County until 6 p.m. Weds., Oct. 14. A Red Flag Warning automatically places Adams County at Level 2 Fire Restrictions. No open burning is allowed until further notice. Those having burn permits issued by the Fire Chief CANNOT burn during Level 2.
