Adams County government is preparing to select its Employee of the Year (also known as the "Employee of ALL Seasons"), and the entire Adams County community is invited to help choose the winner. Now through January 20, county residents can access the online ballot by clicking on the link below.
"By opening our voting process to all of Adams County, we are confident our citizens will quickly discover what the Board of Commissioners already knows—that our employees are highly skilled, innovative, and strongly committed to quality public service," said Commissioner Charles "Chaz" Tedesco. “These remarkable individuals represent only a tiny fraction of the 1,800 devoted individuals—many of them citizens themselves—who comprise the Adams County team."
The finalists in the Employee of the Year program were chosen by their peers. Employees nominate co-workers in eight categories: Bright Idea/Creativity, Collaboration/Helping and Mentoring, Extra Effort, Good Citizenship, Making it Happen, Success in Practice, Sustainability Star, and Unsung Hero. At the end of each year, the original 28 award winners' stories are resubmitted for voting, and the winner is announced as the Employee of All Seasons.
The Adams County employee selected as the Employee of All Seasons will receive a check for $750.00 and their team or work unit will receive a token of appreciation (i.e. ice-cream social, pizza party, catered lunch). The Employee of All Seasons is also recognized at the annual Employee Recognition Luncheon.
The Regional Transportation District (RTD), in coordination with Suncor and local emergency services will conduct an emergency preparedness drill for the N Line on Wednesday, Oct. 28, between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon. The drill will take place at RTD’s Commerce City/72nd Station, 3838 E. 72nd Ave.
