On Friday, Sept. 10, the Adams County Motor Vehicle Office in Commerce City, 4201 E. 72nd Ave., Suite A, will be closed to move to its new location: 7190 Colorado Blvd. The new office is in the South Platte Center and is directly across the street from the current location.
The new office will feature a lobby for the general public, located in Suite #100, that will open on Tuesday, Sept. 14. It will also include a new Commercial and Dealer Hub, located in Suite #150, that will open on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
“Moving our Commerce City Motor Vehicle Office to the South Platte Center is a big win for Adams County,” says Adams County Clerk & Recorder Josh Zygielbaum. “Our new commercial and dealer hub will create a more efficient process for those companies and separating the lobbies will help expedite transactions for our residents.”
The new Commercial and Dealer Hub will have a specialized staff dedicated to commercial transactions. A secure locker system and secure drop-box will allow for contactless drop-off and pick-up options with extended hours—Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday, 7 a.m. - noon.
Throughout the week of Sept. 14-17 only, companies and dealers can drop titles at the Brighton office: 4430 S. Adams County Pkwy., #E2001.
The Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC) and 24-Hour Drop Box at the current location will also move to the new address for the upcoming 2021 Coordinated Election on Tuesday, Nov. 2. More information on when VSPCs and Drop Boxes open is available at AdamsVotes.com.
The Regional Transportation District (RTD), in coordination with Suncor and local emergency services will conduct an emergency preparedness drill for the N Line on Wednesday, Oct. 28, between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon. The drill will take place at RTD’s Commerce City/72nd Station, 3838 E. 72nd Ave.
The National Weather Service has extended the Red Flag warning for Adams County until 6 p.m. Weds., Oct. 14. A Red Flag Warning automatically places Adams County at Level 2 Fire Restrictions. No open burning is allowed until further notice. Those having burn permits issued by the Fire Chief CANNOT burn during Level 2.
