The Adams County Board of Retirement approved an amendment effective Jan. 1, 2018, to the retirement plan to change the vesting period from 10 years to five years for active Tier 3 participants (employees hired in covered employment on or after Jan. 1, 2010). Effective Jan. 1, 2018, Tier 3 participants who have completed five or more years of continuous service and earned service on or after Jan. 1, 2018, will vest in the retirement benefit.

“It’s exciting to see something that one side could not have done without the other come to fruition,” said Sheriff’s Office employee and Retirement Board member Marc Osborne.
